Hostile Environment

My husband and I seemed to have a great marriage until recently. Since he is having a hard time at work, he gets home and takes it out on me. It makes me feel awful and worthless after I have had a good day. One day when my husband came home from work, I told him that I wanted to get separated. He was shocked and wondered, can separation help a marriage? I told my husband that I don’t like the way he talks to me and I didn’t have to take it. I also mentioned that I would be moving out in the morning.
