Why Painting Over Mold Doesn’t Work

When a person sees mold forming on the walls they may be really tempted to just paint over it.  That will solve the problem, right?  The answer is no.  Painting over the mold will not solve the problem at all.  Actually, mold really likes paint.  Paint will only hide the mold as it continues to grow and spread throughout the house.  Masking the problem will only cause future problems that are sure to be much bigger than the problem was originally before it was painted over.  Other things should be used for mold remediation that will actually get rid of the mold.
