Homemade soaps are great for your skin

What’s really great about homemade soaps is that the natural glycerin that results from the saponification process stays in the soap. Glycerin actually takes moisture out of the air and traps it in your skin so you experience better hydration. Most soap companies remove the glycerin and sell it as a separate product which is one of the reasons why store bought soap dries out your skin so much. The missing glycerin creates problems that you need to remedy by spending extra money on lotions and other moisturizing agents. This issue can be completely avoided by making your own homemade soaps or buying these kinds of soaps from a local retailer.
